Job Description
Individual will assemble, maintain and repair machinery and vehicles. They will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific tasks will include but are not limited to:
Reporting to the Operations/Maintenance Superintendent; is responsible for the maintenance of the truck fleet and equipment provided by Apitipi Anicinapek Trucking Ltd. (AAT) and interactions with suppliers in representation of the company.

Must be able to work under minimal supervision and prioritize tasks, troubleshoot and repair all

necessary equipment in a timely manner

Perform preventative maintenance

Road test vehicles/equipment

Diagnose and complete repairs

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted

Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation

Document repairs on work orders and complete inspection sheets as required

Perform major repairs on engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, air brakes, transmissions, and all other parts of the apparatus
Qualifications

Job Description
The Diamond Drill Supervisor shall coordinate the activities of assigned diamond drill projects to achieve a safe, productive, and cost-effective operation. The Diamond Drill Supervisor directly reports to the General Manager, ensuring the safety of his crew and the efficiency of their performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific tasks will include but are not limited to:
Supervise crews to ensure their responsibilities and duties are completed in a satisfactory manner and in compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, and in compliance with legislative requirements.

Be aware of and follow all applicable legislation and safe work procedures

Ensure that all personnel in his/her charge have the appropriate training and/or instructions to carry out their work in a safe and productive manner

Take progressive disciplinary measures for the violation of any of these rules

Warn his/her crews of any potential or actual danger to health and safety

Correct or otherwise address reported sub-standard conditions or work practices
-
Use personal protective equipment and safety devices as required

Work in a manner that will not endanger self, others or the environment

Ensure Emergency Response Plans are developed for assigned projects and are communicated to the crews

Ensure that communication equipment is available and functional at assigned drill sites

Communicate clearly with crews, Mining Director, and client representatives

Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the client representative on site

Encourage workers to share ways of improving health and safety at the worksite

Ensure drill sites are kept clean and orderly

Make sure that oil, fuel waste, and matting are removed from the drill site in a timely manner

Confirm that all Drillers/Assistants perform all required pre-operation checks

Be available to staff for questions, direction, and concerns

Conduct formal performance appraisal at the end of employee probationary period and every six months after. Coaching and informal performance reviews should be ongoing.

Complete incident reports and WSIB forms as necessary

Complete Dailys
-
Completes drilling reports and inspection reports

Prepares new drilling sites

Moves drills
-
Create and manage staff Rosters
-
Perform inspections and maintenance on rigs/equipment

All other tasks related to the position as needed
Qualifications
-
Surface Diamond Drilling Common Core certificate.
-
Generic First Line Common Core Certificate for Supervisors.
-
More than 5 years experience in the field of drilling

Valid class G Driver’s license & reliable transportation

Resourceful and Independent

Computer skills
-
Leadership skills and a great motivator

Ability to plan, organize, and control activities under your responsibility.

Be in good physical shape.

Job Description
Will drive truck and trailer to haul logs and/or float equipment in a safe and efficient manner to designated company locations
Duties and Responsibilities

Applies knowledge of commercial driving and skill in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations such as inclement weather, or in tight loading/unloading areas off highway and private dirt roads
-
Abides by all company, DOT, Provincial and Federal transportation safety regulations
-
Ensures load is properly secured and weight is evenly distributed on truck and trailer. Checks binders and wrappers to ensure load is secure
-
Inspects tractor, trailer and equipment for defects and safe operating condition pre and post trips as applicable. Also, when stopped during the workday
-
Submits driver’s daily vehicle inspection report, no later than the end of each day
-
Perform basic preventative maintenance to ensure fluid levels and tire pressures are maintained
-
Maintains records required for compliance with Provincial and Federal regulations including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law, or by company standards
-
Ensures that all shipping documentation (bills of lading, weight tickets etc.) required to move with shipment are available for inspection
-
Reports all accidents/incidents involving driver or company equipment immediately to Supervisor
Qualifications

Completed truck driving school with a minimum of one year experience; or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
